1. bows
before I knew we were having a girl, I was shopping around for bows. then when it was confirmed I went on a bow rampage. I was a mad women on a mission. so many to choose from and so many styles. wraps, bows, clips, headbands, sailor bows, crowns and a stupid amount more. after putting things into a cart and looking at a total, I decided to take an alternate route. I took matters into my own hands and starting making my own. and I'm very happy I did. I will sit on the floor while we watch tv and go to town. Brandon thinks I should sell. If any momma's are interested, let me know.

2. back to school
Noah went back to school today. and although I feel like crying, I didn't. this school year just creeped up on us and I cant believe it's here. he was very excited this morning I wanted to get a few pictures of him. you know, basic mom. he was so smitten when he was taking pictures with dad. but when it was moms turn, he refused! he was instantly winey and this is the best I got.

3. buick
it has been a while, but Brandon got me a new car. and for the record, I did not ask him for a new car, or any car at all for that matter. he was looking for a truck that he liked since he had got me a new car in December and he wanted a truck. well after weeks and weeks of searching, he couldn't find the one he wanted anywhere that fit into our budget. we knew we needed a bigger vehicle for traveling and when we decided to have another baby. so we stumbled across this Buick. and he was certain he wanted to get that exact one but he wanted to buy it for me. it was going to be our family car that was used for traveling and such, but he wanted me to have it. so here he goes again doing what he does, spoiling me. If you didn't know this about him, Brandon is so selfless. he will always think of me or others before he does of himself. I'm so thankful to have such a great one! he's the best! and this Buick Enclave is a beauty. it's so elegant and fully loaded, perfection.

4. firefighter
not many know, but Brandon is a volunteer firefighter with the Sierra Volunteer Fire Department. I'm so proud of him. he will take on anything and be great at it. he can do it all. and he is so pumped about this one. every mans dream right. this has come to show me what wife's of full time firefighters go through. I've gotten so spoiled having him home that I miss him so much when he has to go on a call. I cant imagine how it would feel not having him around as much as he is. firefighter wife's, I respect you so much for making life go one even after he has gone to work. Noah still doesn't know how he feels about dad when he's in his gear. he won't go near him.

5. como tomo
skylar is breastfed, so when she is not nursing, she is using this como tomo bottle. it has seriously been amazing. they created these bottles to mimick the mound shape and nipple feel of a mother's breast. the wide mound design and anti-colic vents help to create, what is being referred to, as the best bottle for newborns. they are designed to make a seamless switch from breast to bottle. Skylar is a fan and so am I. she is actually trying to feed herself now. she holds the bottle and enjoys. touché como tomo. touché

Weekend in Pictures

08.08.2016

another summer weekend is behind us and I have a bazillion pictures to prove it.
anyone else feel like life is in hyper speed mode? the weeks are coming and going in a blink of an eye. we have been so busy that we decided to extend our weekend and have some fun. Brandon thought it would be good to find some clients in Albuquerque. so he worked a little and mommy tried to rest a lot. it was Thursday before we knew it. so let's start there..
thursday.
daddy went to work early so that left grammy, grandpa Larry and I all alone with the kids.
Noah was eager to go outside, (he's a fan of the mountains) so he and grandpa played in the dirt. Noah thought he was playing, little did he know he was actually working, helping Larry dig out the drainage pipes. grammy and I just sat on the swing and enjoyed. after all that dirt digging we went to the park and it was such a good one. skylar had her first time on the swing, Noah walked a lot (boy likes to walk) and grammy and grandpa played. we were pooped after all the playing, so we sat and had some snacks that grammy has packed for us, thank you grammy!

as soon as we got home, it wasn't long before the kids passed out. and so did I. Lisa made I think, one of my favorite foods for dinner and we had a feast. home-made spaghetti with elk, fresh salad and bread, oh my! they treated Brandon and I by watching the kids and letting us go out on a date. it had seriously been about 2 and a half months since we've gone out. we shopped, we laughed, we ate and had cheesecake on the outside lounge area to the sound of thunder and rain. it was seriously so nice to spend time just the two of us. we came home and Noah was bathed and in bed, Sky was waiting for mommy to get into bed.

friday.
although we tired to sleep in a bit, we have kids, and that didn't happen. so we got ready and headed to the aquarium Noah was ecstatic! he was so excited for each thing he kept saying, "ok, lets see the next fishy." he was blowing through it so we had to slow him down. and after that was over we walked across to the botanical gardens and walked walked walked. Brandon was holding up like a champ with his ankle. he is Noah's best bud, and Noah looks to him for everything. let's face it, he's the fun one.

after all that fun, Noah crashed out in the car so we stopped by Dion's and go us a yummy pizza. grammy's treat. we were all so tired by then we ate in silence and took naps. then woke up to head over to the Isotopes game which was Paw Patrol night. we, the adults were so excited that he would get to see them in person. we were terribly wrong. Noah flipped! he was so scared when we got to the front of the line, he was in full freak out mode. well, that was that. the rest of the game went well once it stopped raining. it was a blast!

saturday.
Saturday went by so fast, I only remembered to take one picture. we went to lunch with Mike & Robin and ate so much. that's how we roll. Sky passed out on daddy and it was so cute! we spent forever at Sportsman's Warehouse and shopped a lot this day as well. then we turned in early.

sunday.
church. food (of course). and goodbye's. we were so sad the weekend had come to an end. we had so much fun and enjoyed every second, even through chaos. the car ride home was one of the smoothest we've had. naps for everyone! except Brandon of course. We're glad to be home and start a new week, getting ready for school. Thank you grammy and grandpa Larry for such a great weekend! Ya'll are the best!

Aug 1, 2016

seven
Skylar gave us the pleasant surprise of waking us with a huge blow out. She had been up and out all night.
She hasn't been letting mommy sleep lately.

eight
Noah's turn. He's an early bird. As soon as I walked in, he smiled and said, "Mommy!" and ran right into my arms.
Oh these moments, I treasure them.

nine
Bath time for this babe. She didn't get a bath the night before because she is just like daddy. She gets so hot at night.
She will leave the sheets wet with how much she sweats. Holy cow!

ten
We actually where doing good on time, so I decided to sit and curl my hair. This doesn't happen very often.
This mirror explains life with a toddler. It wont last a day after I clean it.

eleven
Church. Looking down at his hand, I realize how much God has truly blessed me.
The hand of a strong, loving, caring, man of God gives me courage as we grow together.

twelve
Message by Associate Pastor Shawn Kelly reminded us of The Sign that God gave us of His love.
And the gift of the Savior of the world.

two
Noah fought his nap for as long as he could. Until dad went in and tucked him in.
That has become the only way he will go to sleep.

three
Since both kids were down for the count, we had mom & dad time.
We watched The Fundamentals of Caring . It's such a funny one. Those cables are killing me!

four
Cuddles with this girl are my favorite. I don't believe that cuddling a baby is bad for them or their development.
They are only this small once. And I plan on enjoying it while I can.

five
When I woke up from my nap, I walked into Noahs room to find this. Two boys and their bond.
Brandons ankle is wrapped because he sprained it playing football at Oneighty. He cant walk on it if its not wrapped or without the crutch. He is doing better and better everyday though.

six
I took Sky outside so I could wake her. Who wouldn't want to wake up outside in just the most perfect weather?
And on a porch swing. I know I do. I should ask Brandon to carry me out so I can.

seven
Brandon has been working on both yards like crazy. They're looking super nice. Immaculate actually.
The front obviously needs to be mowed as you can see.

eight
My parents picked us up so we can go out for some sweets & ice cream. Brandon chose a Banana Split and I picked this yummy Strawberries & Cream dessert. Everyone should have one of these at least once.

nine
Noah loves daddy so much. He has to hug him at lease 10 times before he goes down for the night.
Hugs, kisses, stories and prayer time. Good night.
