one. sun's out
we've been outside so much lately, Noah is as tan as he can get. a couple of weeks ago we spent the ENTIRE weekend doing yard work. the kids loved it! we couldn't get them to come inside. we found worms, rollie-pollies and discovered sky's love for eating dirt.. good times! we also enjoyed the sunshine as the kids hunted for way too many eggs that ended up all over the dining room floor. these are the days I dreamed of when I dreamed of having a family and a home.

two. baby boy
i'm so curious! what will this baby boy look like? mommy or daddy? I think dad makes for such a handsome boy. I can't help but dream about how he will look, what his personality will be. shy and quiet like mom? or outgoing and talkative like dad?

three. spring cleaning
some would say i'm nesting, but i'm just normally this much of a clean freak. purging the kids closets have been on my to-do list for months but hadn't had the time. since I took a week off work, it was the perfect opportunity. after cleaning out all the grown out items, I noticed how little clothes they had that actually fit. so Brandon let me go buck wild at Target. what the what? there's one thing off my list. our closet is next. and can you call bathing both kids in the kitchen sink spring cleaning? it was faster, but what was I thinking? my back was mad at me after that.

four. sibling love
they actually like each other. i'm just kidding. but it's so cute when they play together, my goodness. skylar is a lot to handle, so noah doesn't always want to play with her, but when he does, it melts our hearts! sky still thinks her big brother hung the moon, and you can see it when he lets her play with him. I cant get enough.

five. i'm that mom
the one that cant stay away from her kids. people say they love their kids, I really really love my kids. its hard for me to stay away from them all day long. Brandon tells me I need to chill out with it, but I cant. I spend a lot of time visiting them on lunch breaks. and when I get a week off vacation, what do I do? spend time with them at daycare. they're just cool kids..

fun times!
happy Friday.

1. Christmas
we couldn't wait! we decorated on Saturday. in our defense, we wouldn't be home on Thanksgiving, so we wouldn't be able to decorate right after. we have 5 trees in our house. C R A Z Y you may say? Christmas is our thing.
post coming soon of our home for Christmas.

2. teeth
we've got teeth peeps! Sky isn't always happy about it, but she has 2 teeth. she hasn't been crazy fussy, but she has her days.
she certainly does the scratching behind her right ear often, so that's when I know to break out the Tylenol.
3. daycare
we have put the kids into daycare. and may I say, its stinking awesome! Brandon and I both love it. not to mention the kids. Noah often doesn't want to leave. he knows the names of all his classmates and he's social! something we really wanted for him. with him being the only child in the whole family for a long time, he didn't know how to play with others. and that has completely changed.
they have an open door policy and I love to have lunch with them any day I want. I couldn't be happier and more excited about this new stage in life.
4. birthdays
with the holidays here, we get so busy and forget to think about upcoming events. both kids birthdays are right around the corner and last year we were up at ungodly hours prepping the night prior. Brandon is encouraging me to get started. so here I am, buying templates, thinking about cakes, ordering tableware.
I'm so exited for this years parties, Noah will have a superhero party and Sky is under the sea. eek!
here's some of my inspiration.

5. family pictures
so I had this grandiose idea of some family camping pictures. we went all out, and drove to Ruidoso, set up a tent and everything. well by the time we were all set up, sunlight got away from us. so we just had fun and made s'mores before we packed up and went home hoping to try again the the next week. well we didn't. it was too cold and honestly I didn't even want to try again. so I guess those are postponed for next year. those were just going to be fun pictures so not a big deal. we had fun though. next ones will be our Christmas pictures. I'm excited for those.

we're probably off shopping somewhere today, rolling around because of all the food we ate.
hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving day.
we sure did.

1. bows
before I knew we were having a girl, I was shopping around for bows. then when it was confirmed I went on a bow rampage. I was a mad women on a mission. so many to choose from and so many styles. wraps, bows, clips, headbands, sailor bows, crowns and a stupid amount more. after putting things into a cart and looking at a total, I decided to take an alternate route. I took matters into my own hands and starting making my own. and I'm very happy I did. I will sit on the floor while we watch tv and go to town. Brandon thinks I should sell. If any momma's are interested, let me know.

2. back to school
Noah went back to school today. and although I feel like crying, I didn't. this school year just creeped up on us and I cant believe it's here. he was very excited this morning I wanted to get a few pictures of him. you know, basic mom. he was so smitten when he was taking pictures with dad. but when it was moms turn, he refused! he was instantly winey and this is the best I got.

3. buick
it has been a while, but Brandon got me a new car. and for the record, I did not ask him for a new car, or any car at all for that matter. he was looking for a truck that he liked since he had got me a new car in December and he wanted a truck. well after weeks and weeks of searching, he couldn't find the one he wanted anywhere that fit into our budget. we knew we needed a bigger vehicle for traveling and when we decided to have another baby. so we stumbled across this Buick. and he was certain he wanted to get that exact one but he wanted to buy it for me. it was going to be our family car that was used for traveling and such, but he wanted me to have it. so here he goes again doing what he does, spoiling me. If you didn't know this about him, Brandon is so selfless. he will always think of me or others before he does of himself. I'm so thankful to have such a great one! he's the best! and this Buick Enclave is a beauty. it's so elegant and fully loaded, perfection.

4. firefighter
not many know, but Brandon is a volunteer firefighter with the Sierra Volunteer Fire Department. I'm so proud of him. he will take on anything and be great at it. he can do it all. and he is so pumped about this one. every mans dream right. this has come to show me what wife's of full time firefighters go through. I've gotten so spoiled having him home that I miss him so much when he has to go on a call. I cant imagine how it would feel not having him around as much as he is. firefighter wife's, I respect you so much for making life go one even after he has gone to work. Noah still doesn't know how he feels about dad when he's in his gear. he won't go near him.

5. como tomo
skylar is breastfed, so when she is not nursing, she is using this como tomo bottle. it has seriously been amazing. they created these bottles to mimick the mound shape and nipple feel of a mother's breast. the wide mound design and anti-colic vents help to create, what is being referred to, as the best bottle for newborns. they are designed to make a seamless switch from breast to bottle. Skylar is a fan and so am I. she is actually trying to feed herself now. she holds the bottle and enjoys. touché como tomo. touché
